Viewpoints Rebrand

Worked closely with UX and Product Teams to rebrand the Viewpoints.com experience. Some immediate steps were taken to lighten existing page weight to address the Google algorithm update in April of 2011 to regain some of the lost traffic. The larger rebrand effort including a logo redesign is expected to launch early in 2012.

TRESemme Dynamic Web Banners

TRESumme requested an interactive banner advertisement to help launch the new Climate Control product line. The client chose a direction that was informative and worked in tandem with their running commercial. Dynamic local weather data was pulled in along with interactive info on how Climate Control could help under those conditions.

JCPenney Website Redesign

Acted as a Senior Art Director on the large scale JCPenney website redesign. Managed 2 designers and worked closely with the UX teams to help create a more streamlined interface utilizing a larger design footprint. Efforts were focused primarily on the gift registry section of the website with frequent check ins with other teams as different portions of the site were being designed. Traveled weekly to present progress to the client based in Texas.

Becker Mobile Website

Designed home page mockup for Becker’s mobile website. Mobile design best practices such as simplified content, larger and expandable buttons, conservative use of imagery, and an option to view the full website were incorporated.

Hyatt Website Redesign

Hyatt’s new boutique hotel chain, Andaz, was preparing to launch 2 new hotels and felt it was time to refresh their identity and website. We worked in tandem with BBDO New York (overall brand and print) and Sapient (functional specs).

Lottery Joy Someone Campaign

Concepted and created several interactive pieces during the Illinois Lottery’s end of the year holiday season. Pieces included a microsite to select or customize cards for people you might normally forget to gift as well as a rich media banner campaign with scaled down functionality of the website.

Data Driven Flash Banner

Created a data driven Flash banner on the Illinois Lottery website during their first ever Halloween Millionaire Raffle. The banner featured a countown of the number of tickets left provided from an external source and to be hosted on the Illinois Lottery servers. The data was manipulated to properly be formatted within the banner.

Lottery Second Chance Summer

Concepted and created several interactive pieces during the Illinois Lottery’s seasonal second chance campaign. Pieces included a ticket entry microsite, an experience driven Paper Vision promotional microsite, as well as multiple waves of rich banner ads and additional media buys.

Cabaret Photoshoot

Cabaret singer, Melissa Young, needed promotional photographs for her show, OUT: A Rainbow Icon Celebration. Inspired by the concept that the audience got to spin a wheel of gay icons thereby controlling what she sang, I photographed a stylized representation of a cabaret singer being controlled by puppet strings. Additional photographs indicative of the roaring 20’s were also captured.

Megamillions Rich Media Banners

Storyboarded, designed, and animated a Flash banner to accompany an existing print design for a campaign around their highest priced scratch off ticket ever. Drew and animated a vector pair of dice to ensure staying within the file size limitations of banner ads.

I was asked to come up with several early thinking concept designs for a redesign of the Rachel Roy website. This was one of my personal favorites. I created a rich typographic and layered graphic treatment which worked equally well for their higher end brand as well as their diffusion line which was about to be introduced.

HIMSS Conference Website Design

Website for the HIMSS09 conference. The site afforded a large central image to feature keynotes and other promotional topics as well as a clean modular left-hand navigation. The client also requested a large countdown timer be designed to help facilitate urgency to register.

Bayer Rich Media Development

Was brought in to develop the Action Script 2.0 code for a rich media banner that handled multiple outcomes to four Yes/No questions. The user was presented with a unique recommendation depending on what was selected.

Eclipse Concepting and Design

Concepted and helped design the winning pitch to have an improv troupe, The Germ Killaz, act out bad breath moments. Illustrated the neon sign logo. Tribal DDB partnered with Funny or Die who later handled the casting and production of the comedy moments in Los Angeles.

Hubba Bubba Banners & Wallpaper

Designed and concepted banner ads for Hubba Bubba to coincide with the release of the Dreamworks Monsters vs. Aliens movie. Part of the promotion was to offer a downloadable desktop wallpaper which I had also designed.

Burn Logo and Graphics

Drink Nightclub hired a producer to help bring in more customers on Sunday nights. I was asked to create a logo and several themed graphics to be used for promotional materials. One particularly fun project was working with Maverick Records to create a 10 minute Burn-themed video montage used as environmental graphics to be played throughout the bar for the release of Madonna's song What it Feels Like for a Girl.
